What is Changing?
Childcare in Australia is changing. The Federal Government’s $73 million National Child Care Management System (or CCMS) affects owners and operators of:
- Family day care
- In home care
- Outside school hours care
- Long day care
- Occasional care
The CCMS is designed to provide better child care supply and usage information for everyone involved including government bodies, families and child care providers themselves.
To facilitate this, child care services will move to electronic lodgement of Child Care Benefit (CCB) data
The CCMS will bring all approved child care services online to standardise and simplify the administration of Child Care Benefit (CCB). Services will provide information via the Internet to allow calculation and payment of CCB fee reductions on behalf of children in their service.
If you have not already, you must obtain computer hardware, Internet access and approved software to meet government requirements.
